business Banking Tools FAQs
What is ACH, and how does it help my business?
ACH is a way to move money electronically between bank accounts. Businesses commonly use it for payroll, vendor payments, and collecting authorized customer payments. It can reduce check writing, simplify recurring payments, and make cash flow easier to manage.
What are the benefits of direct deposit?
Direct deposit eliminates the need to prepare and distribute paper payroll checks and gives employees a convenient way to receive their pay directly into their bank accounts. It can also reduce manual work and simplify payroll processing for your business.
How can I protect my business accounts from fraud?
Start with layered controls. Give each user only the access they need, use dual controls for higher-risk transactions, review account activity regularly, and enable relevant account alerts. Never share Online Banking credentials between employees, and contact us promptly if you notice suspicious activity.
Are ACH Origination and Merchant Deposit included with my business checking account?
These services are available separately to approved business customers and are not automatically activated when you open a business checking account. Both require a separate application and service agreement, and additional fees may apply. Our team can help you determine whether either service makes sense for your business.
